Some things we go through to fully rely on God, also to humble us.

Testing us to see what's in our heart because our way might not be the right way.

Acts 1:4

He commanded, "Do not leave Jerusalem, but wait for the gift my Father promised, which you have heard me speak about."

Don't give up or be discouraged, the promise is coming.

He promised that the promise is coming.

Acts 1:5

You shall be baptized with the Holy Spirit not many days from now.

This is an announcement and a divine assurance of good.

He's making good on what He said.

Speak His word back to Him.

Rely on the Holy Spirit to use you to speak, not your emotions.

Announcing He's about to enter the realm with power.

It took ten days. 10 = rebirth

The number 1 represents - leadership, assertiveness and professional achievement.

"You will be my leaders of the Earth, sharing the gospel."

The number 10 represents new beginnings.

Starting a movement of newness.

Acts 1:6-7

"They gathered around him and asked, "Lord, are you at this time going to restore the kingdom of Israel?"

He said, "It is not for you to know times or dates which the Father set by his own authority."

He's basically saying knowing that information is above your pay grade. Lol.

This is a set time that the Father has established.

If you knew it, you'd be hyper focused on times and seasons.

Acts 1:8

But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem...and to the ends of the earth."

Explosive, dynamite power ⚡

You're here to make an impact in the world.

Can't do it ourselves, we need the Holy Ghost power present.

Matthew 28:19-20

"Go and make disciples of all nations baptizing them in the name of the Father, the son & the Holy Spirit."

This is a command.

Going from where you are to where you're not/where you need to be.

You're going to receive this power and become His witnesses.

This is going to be a global movement.

Go into all the Earth and share the gospel with power.

A power that gives you an ability to do things you cannot do within yourself.

This is a second wind. Because He gave you power to do it.

Acts 2:1

When the day of Pentecost came, they were all together in one place.

They knew where they were supposed to be for the promise.

If you're not there, you'll miss out.

Met in the upper room for the promise.

The Holy Spirit would come to maximize the masses and the moment.

Something different is going to happen this time.

It's not always going to be this way.

Acts 2:2

Suddenly, there came a sound from heaven, as a rushing mighty wind & it filled the whole house where they were sitting.

It was a heavenly sound.

They didn't know what to expect, were just following what the Lord said.

This had never happened before.

Get in position and expect God to do something different.

They knew the difference between the sounds.

It's so important to have an ear to God so you can hear from Him.

Acts 2:3

Then there appeared to them divided tongues as of fire, and one sat upon each of them.

Just hear and obey.

After hearing, now they were seeing. They were already in worship - their mouths were open with praise and the Holy Spirit came and sat on each of their tongues.

Everyone was expecting the promise & they were all filled.

This was full deliverance - The Lord doesn't do anything halfway.

Acts 2:4

And they were filled with the Holy Spirit, and began to speak with other tongues, as the spirit gave them utterance.

God wants to hear His word, not your emotions or feelings.

He moves according to His word.

Acts 3:1

Peter and John were going up to the temple at the time of prayer - at three in the afternoon.

It was customary for them to pray at this hour - it was a set time.

A man who was lame from birth was being carried to the temple gate to beg from those going into the temple courts.

The man saw Peter and John about to enter the temple and asked them for money.

Acts 3:4

Peter said, "Look at us!" The man gave them his full attention, expecting to get something from them.

Acts 3:6

"Silver or gold I do not have, but what I do have I give you. In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, walk."

He didn't give the man anything to aid his current situation instead, he gave him something better.

Acts 3:7

Peter took him by his right hand and lifted him up immediately his feet and ankle bones received strength.

The power of the Holy Ghost healed the man.

Acts 3:8

He jumped to his feet and began to walk. Then, he went with them into the temple courts, walking, leaping, jumping and praising God.

The man was now able to enter a place he wasn't permitted to go because of his physical condition.

Acts 3:9

All the people saw him walking and praising God and were filled with wonder and excitement at what had happened to him.

3,000 people came as a result of the spoken Word.

The Word will either draw people in or drive them away.

Because of His obedience, God was able to meet him. He was lame but not forgotten.

One day it all changed.

Keep your eyes on Jesus. While they're looking at you, look at Him.

The Lord activates miracles every day.

You won't be in this position long. Keep calling on Him for your strength.

He's the only One who can take us where we need to go.

After a while, there will be glory. 🤍
