Context: Lazarus dies and Jesus resurrects him. Martha and Mary are in the unknown.
Sometimes when we know the ending, it takes away the impact of the process.
John 11:20-28
Martha doubts her connection with Jesus after doesn't heal her brother in time.
Her faith is declining in this text.
Not only is she grieving, but she thought that by having access to Jesus, her brother would be saved.
Because her plan failed, she's also grieving her faith.
A sudden decline in your faith can have you so far off track that you'll find yourself walking by sight and not by faith.
"Not my will, but yours be done." (Luke 22:42)
He came right on time - in a way that showed her He still has a plan.
In the moment, it felt like He wasn't going to show up because He didn't intervene when she wanted Him to.
Jesus started asking her questions about what she believes.
He doesn't strip her of her grief because He needed her to focus on her belief.
In this season, God needs you to believe Him on a different level.
Surrender what you used to believe.
In the moment of her greatest disbelief, Jesus gives her a revelation about who He is.
He said, "I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die, and whoever lives by believing in me will never die." (Luke 11:25-26)
This personal encounter helped her lay down her plan and idea of what should be in order to believe God in a way she had never done before.
The steps to surrender are: grieving, believing, and then laying it all down.
What God has for you is going to be worth the grief and the wait.
When you surrender, God increases you.
The increase done inside of you is the greatest upgrade you could ever receive.
Every obstacle is an opportunity for increase.
God won't allow anything to be taken from you unless He's able to multiply it.
When you give it to God, there's increase. Increase is often something we step into.
You can be increasing and not even realize it.
You've developed enough to release what is inside of you.
It's time to move into the next stage of your destiny.
Move from growth into stability.
Even if they don't see who you are, God sees who you are.
Let belief transfer into your life. He's STILL doing miracles.
Your belief can push someone else's faith to the next level. 🤍
