Matthew 14:27 - Jesus immediately said to them, "Take courage! It is I. Don't be afraid."

Faith is not a comfortable place, it is a journey. Context: Jesus walks on water.

Have confidence and hope knowing that the one who wrote the blueprint will guide you through. It's easy to depend on God when things are going good.

When you skip prayer, the enemy will keep you distracted. Without prayer, your faith decreases.

Faith produces hope. Hope produces peace. Peace produces joy.

Christianity is no easy walk - that's why faith is a journey.

"Immediately Jesus made the disciples get in the boat and go ahead of them to meet him on the other side." (Matthew 14:22)

Real faith is our allegiance and duty to God.

Emotions will have you living in of fear, anxiety, arrogance, doubt.

Stepping out of God's will = operating out of your own emotions. Examine your belief and trust in Him.

Our prayer life is vital. It is vital that we keep a consistent prayer life - that's where we get our strength from. We spend too much time entertaining the enemy.

God told us to go down this path and we obeyed. Why didn't He warn us about the storms?

He allows the intensity of these storms to increase your faith. Jesus calms the chaos with his presence.

Never told them where the destination was, told them to get in the boat and meet them on the other side. God is the destination. He's not going to tell you how or when, you're going to have to meet him there.

Our walk will face difficulties beyond our control. If we are not connected to Source, there cannot be any light. Where there is light, there is clarity.

It's one thing to look connected, but another to be connected. Easier to detect the enemy when you're connected to God.

Can't go year after year with the same faith. Old oil can't produce new miracles - Need an oil change!

Stay in communion with God daily to receive peace that surpasses all understanding.

The disciples rowed all night with no expectation of seeing him and then all of a sudden they see Jesus walking on water.

It was an unexpected way of Him showing up. Don't doubt God.

Through moments of distress is where we understand who Jesus is - our fear is transformed into faith.

During our deepest trials, He is with us, for us and around us.

We don't know God's plan but we can ask for the strength and peace to let Him work.

Peter said, "Lord if it's you, tell me to come to you on the water."

"Come." He said. (Matthew 22:28-29)

Out of all the disciples, Peter was the only one who had the courage to make a move. He stepped out of his comfort zone.

He demonstrated strong faith in a seemingly impossible situation. It sounded like Jesus, but it didn't look like him.

Peter was a professional in his field as a fisherman and knew that it was IMPOSSIBLE to walk on water. He lost focus as he looked around and saw the wind - he grew afraid and started to sink.

"Lord, save me!" Peter cried out. (Matthew 22:30)

When you keep your eyes on Jesus, you're walking by faith.

Immediately, Jesus reached out his hand and caught him. "You of little faith, why did you doubt me?" (Matthew 22:31)

Outside noise = distractions. Keep looking at Jesus and not the storm.

Intimacy with God makes it easier to hear His voice.

Peter wanted to be wherever Jesus was, that's why he went. As long as he looked at Jesus, he stayed afloat.
