Make a Move

Context: Abram is minding his business. God has an encounter with him and makes him a promise.
Genesis 12:1-19
"Go from your country, your family and father's household to the land I will show you."
Abram responds to this promise in agreement. He does exactly what God told him is required in order to step into the covenant.
He was willing to sacrifice and believe God.
There's a famine in the land God promised him.
The promise don't look like what he said He was gonna do.
Decided to move around a bit until it looked like what He said.
Goes to Egypt and takes matters into his own hands - tells his wife, Sarai, to lie.
Genesis 12:18-19
"Why did you lie? Now, here is your wife, take her and go on your way."
A man brings his sick son to the disciples but they cannot heal him.
He has an encounter with Jesus and he's being challenged to have faith in an area where he's experienced defeat.
Mark 9:21-24
Jesus tells him, "Everything is possible for one who believes."
The man responded, "I do believe; Lord, help my unbelief."
There's been moments in our lives where we didn't know if Jesus could.
Our job is to always be faithful - but sometimes we are faced with moments where we doubt before we believe He can do anything.
Jesus can do what literally no one else can do.
Get out the way and rest.
"While you rest, I can move."
Exceedingly, abundantly above all that I can ask for. (Ephesians 3:20)
He can make a way out of no way.
That's the God we serve.
God did it & God can do it.
Waiting to see what He's going to do again.
God CAN.
Some things shouldn't scare you because you know what God can do.
The man doesn't know what all Jesus can do. He believes but he's got unbelief.
Jesus can quite literally change your life - the way you think, etc.
Jesus says, "IF you can, believe."
It comes down to whether or not YOU can believe.
Mark 9:23
"All things are possible to those who believe."
can: means to be able or possible, to be of power
This text suggests that it takes power to believe.
Faith is not just a consciousness. It requires power.
It takes power to believe differently and that you are more than what you have gone through.
Belief will not come easy.
Why would the enemy make it easy for you to believe? He's going to make you question what you believe to make it hard for you to achieve.
If you don't believe it, you won't achieve it.
Have to believe it to step into it. The word is already settled in heaven.
What is settled in heaven can show up in the earth.
The woman with the issue of blood believed that she could be healed if she touched the hem of His garment. Her belief immediately healed her.
For what God's called you to do, you need power to believe.
Your belief built the life you live.
Jesus makes sure to let her know it wasn't the touch that healed her.
It was the way she activated her faith.
God gave you that belief from His spirit - you need power that comes from heaven.
Philippians 1:6
He who started a work in a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Jesus Christ.
"IF you can believe, ALL things are possible."
Sometimes we only have faith for that one thing to be possible and when it doesn't happen, we lose faith.
He couldn't answer in the way that you want but it can still end up good.
Even if you don't do it my way, He makes a way. His way is better than my way.
Have faith it will still work out in the end.
1 Corinthians 12:7-11
The manifestation of the Spirit is given to each one for the profit of all for one is given the word of wisdom, the word of knowledge, faith, gifts of healings, miraculous powers, prophecy, distinguishing between spirits, speaking different kinds of tongues, and the interpretation of tongues.
The Spirit can manifest whatever I need depending on what kind of power is required.
God gives us the Holy Spirit that gives us faith - what we cannot believe in our own strength.
"I'll give you faith for the next that I'm calling you to."
He can fill the gap between where we are and where He's called you to.
Just because you don't feel worthy doesn't mean God doesn't view you as worthy.
Ask in faith.
What you're going to do in the earth, it's going to requiring faith.
Faith should have action connected to it.
Your faith has to know how to make a move.
"I'll multiply your faith, when you multiply your steps."
God would never call you into something and leave you there.
When He got ready to make a move, He called Abram.
Genesis 12:2-3
"I will make you a great nation, I will make your name great."
Has to get out his country to make a move.
"If you move, I will make you into what I have promised."
Move in the direction of what He's said.
There are some people who will only move or get a breakthrough until you make a move.
Make a move instantly when God sends a word.
If you move, He'll meet you on the move.
God's waiting for you at the next step.
Abram starts moving and brings others with him.
It's time for you to stop thinking and start moving.
Your faith is being made stronger.
When you started moving, heaven's resources started moving with you.
The path is clear.
No devil can stand in your way any longer.
Of all the people to make the father of nations, what is it that Abram had?
Abram had was the willingness to make a move.
Even if meant risking making the wrong move.
Some don't make a move because they feel like they have to make it perfectly.
This was not perfect man but a man willing to learn along the way.
He was willing to have that move corrected, guided, go back to the drawing board and try again.
Faith is not about perfection, it's about movement.
Abraham was chosen with great intentionality.
His journey was not perfect. His imperfections did not change God's promise.
When he messed up, he learned and tried again. God made a nation out of him. "Had a blessing for all of his descendants." Being his descendant is by faith.
Galatians 3:7-8
"They which are of faith, are the same as the children of Abraham."
Applies to everyone with faith like Abraham's faith.
Don't let fear, disappoint, mistakes keep you from moving in faith.
Be willing to posture your heart to hear a word from God.
If you do this right, your name will have honor and integrity.
It's one thing to be blessed, it's another thing to be a blessing.
Don't have to do everything perfectly for this because you have been justified by faith.
If you can get the faith part worked out, God can do everything else.
Faith that allows you out of your comfort zone.
It's going to require you to have the power to believe.
You need the power to believe again.
Faith to move again after success.
Have the faith to believe God is not finished with you.
