It's a Lie

John 8:44

"You belong to your father and you want to carry out His desires. The devil was a murderer from the beginning, not holding to truth, for there is no truth in him."

No matter how people dress it up, it's still a lie.

Definition of a lie: to speak falsely or utter untruth knowingly with the intent to deceive.

When you lie, you're also deceiving yourself.

A liar is someone that cannot be trusted.

• When the devil tells you something, why do we believe him?

• He is a liar because the Word says that he is.

"When he lies, he speaks his native language, for he is a liar and the father of lies." (John 8:44)

Liars don't like to be exposed.

Things the enemy may tell you = "you're not good enough" or "your sin, ways, mistakes, etc. make you unlovable."

Entertain the Word.

• God's voice is His Word.

He qualifies those that He calls.

Romans 8:39

"Nothing will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord."

God makes ALL things new.

The enemy's lies keep us stuck in the past, pain and habits that are not conducive to our growth.

2 Corinthians 5:17

"The new creation has come. The old has gone, the new is here!"

It's been promised because of the Word.

The Bible is the source. Stay engaged with what the Word says.

The devil is waiting for you to slip up.

• He is NOT all knowing.

• He waits on you to reveal where you are so he knows where to attack.

Hebrews 13:15

"Through Jesus, therefore, let us continually offer to God a sacrifice of praise - the fruit of lips that openly profess His name."

He will never leave you nor forsake you.

The enemy's intent is to put fear and doubt in you.

• Making you feel like "your situation is hopeless."

John 10:27

"My sheep, they know my voice, and I know them, they follow me."

NO ONE should second guess when the Lord speaks.

Why is it that devil mentions it once and we believe it?

"By my stripes, you are already healed." (Isaiah 53:5)

Who are you listening to? What does the Word say?

Stop letting the devil ruin your day.

We've accepted labels, limits and lies that did NOT come from God.

• Comes from the pits of hell.

Be an overcomer.

The enemy waits for you to destroy yourself.

John 8:32

"Then you will know the truth, and the truth shall set you free."

The definition of truth = what is not hidden, revelation by the Holy Spirit.

His Word IS The Truth.

John 4:13-14

"But whoever drinks the water I give them will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give them will become in them as a spring of water welling up to eternal life."

God is the only one that can do it. He is The One.

Even when Satan is quoting scriptures, he's still lying.

The devil's entire nature is about deceiving/deception.

When they have no power, they manipulate.

Spiritual people are being placed in your life to help you.

Stay in His word & Stay connected.

When we hold onto the truth, we won't be pulled in different directions away from God.

You have to be able to discern lies.

The enemy wants to distort the truth, create doubt and appeal to your pride.

Start asking yourself:

• "Did God say that?"

• "Was that the devil?"

Question the lies NOT the truth.

Your flesh will fight you.

There's a fight between the flesh and spirit when He's already given you the victory.

Unless you know the Word, you'll believe the lie.

What do you stand on? Certain things I won't do by the power of the Word.

John 8:31-32

"If you hold to my teaching, you are really my disciples. Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free."

Remain faithful in His teachings.

A lie will keep you bound until it becomes part of your nature.

God's word is unchangeable.

Often, we put ourselves in situations that set us back.

Thank God for grace.

"Lord, you know my heart" indicates you're stuck in your ways, not trying to change.

We have free will but it's not always His will.

Your actions should show your love for Him.

Nothing like being in His presence.

Heaven's the goal.

The devil is always going to lie, he is never going to tell the truth.

It's not too late. You have what it takes.

Because it's a lie, you don't have to believe it.

God is calling you out of the bondage of your life.

Renounce the lie and receive the truth.

He's ready to re-write your story and your life.

Matthew 11:28

"Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart...my yoke is easy and my burden is light."

Some people want to live a lie.

Stand ten toes down on the truth.

It's already done.

Victory is in your bloodline.
