Barriers are being broken.
"God, break any barrier that keeps us from having oneness with you."
Context: King Solomon endures great struggles to build the temple for the Lord. Once it was built, they had a huge dedication to celebrate and he made his prayer requests known to the Lord.
2 Chronicles 7:12-15
"Then the Lord appeared to Solomon by night, and said to him: "I have heard your prayer, and have chosen this place for Myself as a house of sacrifice."
Humans are bombarded by stimuli throughout the day.
Our brain works so quickly it turns the stimuli into perception.
Sensory overload is when we experience more stimuli that we can process.
Spirit takes the stimuli we're exposed to and translates it into something we can perceive.
Holy Spirit interprets everything we've been exposed to.
Some things only give you breakthrough when you get in the presence of the Lord.
What do I do with what I've been exposed to?
You have the spirit translating on your behalf.
Spirit helps me translate how to step into the moment.
"I'm never without help or without strategy."
The Spirit prepares me for places I've never been.
Idk how you did that - "The Holy Spirit did it."
Walking and talking differently.
No one is playing by the rules.
If God gives you a vision, don't try to make it fit within the rules.
The Spirit says you're right on time.
Job 23:10
"When I finish trying you, you will come out as pure gold."
Create by the Spirit. Not by the rules.
God is going to give you strategy for what to do in this season.
You need the spirit to help you discern and interpret what to do in this generation & with this opportunity.
Jesus didn't play by the rules, he was led by the spirit.
The spirit gave him insight.
About who people were, how to heal, how to move
Mark 2:6-8
"And some of the scribes were sitting there and reasoning in their hearts, "Why does this Man speak blasphemies like this? Who can forgive sins but God alone?"
Jesus is in the presence of those speaking poorly of him.
"But immediately, when Jesus perceived in His spirit..."
Helped him to discern what's in their heart.
What was in their heart, didn't match their words.
Seek Me first and I'll show you what's in their heart.
Moving from understanding and discerning to a space of proclamation.
Acts 2:17
"And it shall come to pass in the last days, says, God, "That I will pour out My Spirit on all flesh; your sons and your daughters shall prophesy."
Once God helps you organize the truth, then you have something to say.
You are supposed to be carrying a sound amidst all of the noise in the world.
The Lord has given you a sound that started in the Spirit.
Enemy is distracting you with noise to keep you from tapping into your sound.
Your sound is the noise God wants you to prophesize out of your mouth.
You have to prophesize it.
Prophesize for your generation.
Allow the Word of God to come out of your mouth.
Prophesize that NO weapon formed against you shall prosper.
I prophesize that I haven't seen my best days yet.
I prophesize that He that began a work in me will complete it in me will carry it unto completion.
I prophesize that the curse is broken.
I prophesize that my mind is transformed.
The Holy Spirit wants to give you something to say that will disrupt atmospheres.
He wants to give you a sound.
Psalms 150:6
"Let everything that has breath praise the LORD."
Your breath has to go through some things before it becomes praise.
There are moments when the sound God has given you cannot be released because it cannot break through the matter. Praise doesn't always come easy.
Hebrews 13:15
"Let us continually offer to God a sacrifice of praise - the fruit of lips that openly profess his name."
He inhabits the praises of His people.
That praise is a miracle - it had to break through some things.
A wave of glory.
In the middle of a storm, I'll still praise you.
He's a good God. Don't let this circumstance make you doubt that.
The enemy will always try to trick you into believing you can't trust the goodness of God.
His character is real.
Solomon throws a party celebrating the goodness of God in the temple.
He knew that even though they were praising God in the moment that they would fall short of always being their best self.
Solomon prepares them for the reality of who they are.
God is good even when we're not.
We're His people but there will be moments where you don't feel like this.
He asks the Lord to keep His ears open for when they make a sound.
For when they stopped praising on this level and fall short.
This text is the Lord responding to his prayer. "I will deliver on what you said." There is a sound that God can not ignore.
It is the sound of His people crying out.
What produces the sound that heaven cannot ignore?
2 Chronicles 7:14
"If my people who are called by My name will humble themselves and pray and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land."
One of the barriers is if we forget we are God's people.
When you mess up, you're still His.
God will never disown you.
He put His name on you.
What are you answering to?
One of the barriers that keeps your sound from reaching heaven is what we answer to.
Are we answering to pride, ego, fear? You may be too prideful and feel too entitled to His presence.
Be humble enough to understand that you shouldn't have any access to His presence, but He dwells anyway. 🤍
Grateful to be in His presence.
HE KEEPS ON CALLING US AND SHOWING UP AND LOVING US.
Only He knows all the ways we've messed up.
Sometimes we pray from a place of entitlement.
Pray from a place of humility.
"See me God."
"Thank you God" with thanksgiving and gratitude.
"I trust you, & I honor you."
Even if it doesn't work out how I want, I trust that it will work out even better.
1 Corinthians 2:9 "Eye has not seen, nor heard, Nor entered into the heart of man the things which God has prepared for those who love Him."
